Jinxue Hu

Jinxue Hu is an economic researcher who focuses on economic impact assessments of resource efficiency policies. What could be the impact of the energy transition on employment? Which sectors will benefit and which sectors will be harmed by it? Can tax revenue recycling minimize the negative effects? These are typical questions she attempts to answer using input-output, CGE and other macro-economic models. Besides the application of such models, she also helps clients develop and improve their own in-house economic models.

After her economic studies at the Erasmus University, she started her career at TNO where she still works part-time as a strategic analyst. Jinxue has joined NEO since 2018 and works mainly for international organisations including the French Economic Observatory, EC Joint Research Centre and the United Nations Environment Programme.
